Not to be mistaken with Don Henley…or the Boys of Summer, Kitsbow Cycling Apparel has released two cool, new riding shirts. The Icon Denim Shirt and the cool Merino Wool Henley shirt.
Icon Denim Shirt
This Icon Denim Shirt is what Kitsbow calls a purpose-designed denim shirt that they say will sure to become an American Classic. The Icon Denim shirt has the same profile as the “legendary” Kitsbow Icon shirt that was made with Pendleton Wool with all of the proven comforts and fit details.
That includes the vented gussets that Kitsbow says will minimize binding across the back of the shoulders while you ride. The Icon Denim has snaps instead of buttons for quick (snappy if you will) ventilation needs. With the ability to quickly unsnap the front while combined with hidden mesh rear vents, it would seem that this shirt could be ridden in a wide variety of climates.
With the tailored details of the collar, cuffs pockets, and seams meeting the standards of fine apparel, Kitsbow is confident that you could wear this shirt out to a fancy dinner. I personally love that kind of off-the-bike versatility.
From the Press kit, Kitsbow CEO, David Billstrom had this to say, “Our design team has been conceiving and designing high-performance apparel for years – their designs deliver clothes that are durable, so comfortable they nearly ‘disappear’ when worn, and at the same time offer timeless style for the discerning buyer.” Also saying that “Our team turned their attention to the classic denim shirt, and the result is the most comfortable, durable, and stylish performance denim shirt available anywhere.”
The Icon Denim comes in one color: Slate
Retail: $249
Merino Henley Shirt
Kitsbow has launched two new Merino wool Henley shirts in the Larison for men and the Eula Ridge, which is the exact same product but tailored for a women’s fit.
Merino wool is an extremely versatile fabric, and Kitsbow claims that their new Henley shirts will be good for multi-sport, multi-day or multi-season. The new Henleys are said to be born from Kitsbow’s “famous” Merino Tee, which they state means that you can trust the fit has been engineered to move with you.
Here are some bullet points of the features found in the new Kitsbow Merino Wool Henley shirts:
75% Merino 25% synthetic Fabric blend maximizes durability, odor control and stretch recovery
Henley snaps quickly to adjust for optimal comfort
Base layer or single layer versatility
Wicks moisture and dries quicker than pure merino
Contoured rear drop-hem for maximum coverage
Sewn by artisans, one at a time just for you, in Old Fort, NC
Both the Larison and Eula Ridge come in the same three colors: Ultra Navy Heather, Red Earth Heather, and Cedar Heather
