You probably don’t have Kyle Strait’s skills, but if you bid high enough, you can have his wheels. Up for grabs is a completely custom set of Stan’s Flow MK3 wheels built to Onyx hubs. Clearly, these are not your ordinary wheels…

Originally built for Lyle to tackle the 2017 Red Bull Rampage, only two sets were made. And in spite of Lyle being one of the few riders to tackle the steepest line in Rampage history, the first set of wheels survived the whole weekend, leaving the second set new in the box. That second set is now up for auction on Ebay.

Obviously, these are not your ordinary wheels. Starting with Stan’s Flow MK3 rims with a 29mm internal width, the rims were hydro dipped in a camouflage finish that is actually a coating – not a sticker. Then blaze orange Stan’s logos were added to match the custom blaze orange 6 bolt hubs from Onyx Racing.

Built to fit a DH bike, these 27.5″ wheels have a 20 x 110mm front and 12 x 150mm rear spacing and SRAM XD freehub body – though they can be converted to 15 x 100 and 12 x 157 by Onyx, and have the ability to run a Shimano freehub body as well. The wheels are built with Sapim Laser spokes with alloy Polyax Secure Lock nipples for a wheelset durable enough to compete at Rampage – and still ride home.

Starting bid is $499, and all of the funds raised will go straight to NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) to help get more kids on bikes.
