Lance Armstrong is in Glasgow Scotland today for the U2 concert. He had decided only 2 days earlier to go for a ride while in Scotland and sent out a Twitter invite to anyone who wanted to go for a casual ride and show him  around. Armstrong says he was expecting a dozen or so people to show up for the rainy ride. He was shocked at the 200+ turnout. I guess if you live in Scotland you don’t mind riding in the rain.
As Armstrong put his bike together he told reporters “I have to ride my bike, so I figured I’d bring some friends along for the ride.” He said that he had no plans to punish anyone on the ride and was just going to “take it easy.” I haven’t heard any reports on what kind of pace he set.
