Lauf’s Seigla gravel bike is one of our favorites, and they’ve always offered a wide range of builds to meet a lot of budgets. But if you were hoping for something more expensive and high zoot, the limited edition Seigla Ultimate R should scratch that itch.

Built on their full-carbon Seigla frame with 3rd gen leaf-sprung fork, the Ultimate R dials up the build with a few key upgrades from the standard Ultimate build, including:
- Fizik Vento Argo R3 Adaptive Saddle (140mm)
- Zipp 303 XPLR SW Hookless wheels
- Goodyear Peak SL Race 2.25″ MTB tires

The addition of a 3D-printed saddle is a nice touch, and Fizik’s are very comfortable.

Those tires are Goodyear’s fastest XC tread and come in at just 685g and 57mm wide. Admittedly, that’s a bit heavier than the 50mm-wide 610g Connector Inter Race tires that come on the other builds, but you’re gaining another 7mm of tire width with the 2.25’s.

So, yes, they’re making the most of Zipp’s ultra-wide rims and the Seigla’s generous tire clearance here. If you’ve got a rough, windy course on the schedule, this might be the right combo.

The Ultimate R gets SRAM’s latest 13-speed Red XPLR AXS group w/ dual-leg power meter spider, their Smoothie handlebar, and carbon FSA seatpost.
Complete bike weight is ~8.48 kg / 18.69 lbs (claimed average for size medium), retail is $7,290. That’s just $210 more than the Ultimate, which, FWIW, is less than the aftermarket cost of upgrading just the saddle.
New Kvika Red colorway

Kvika is Icelandic for “Magma” or “Molten Rock”, a fitting name and color for a brand born of land formed by volcanoes. Available on all builds, including the new Ultimate R, it’s _____________.

Complete bike prices range from $3,190 to $7,290, all with 1x SRAM AXS wireless drivetrains , Lauf’s vibration-damping Smoothie handlebar, FSA stem and post, and Fizik Aliante R5 saddles.
