Lazer has overhauled their on-the-fly adjustable aero road helmet with a Bullet 2.0 redesign that improves on ventilation, protection, even cutting drag a bit more. Plus, the new more ventilated aero helmet adds a number of new features to keep you more comfortable & efficient while training or racing.

The standout feature of the Bullet 2.0 continued to be Lazer’s on-the-fly adjustable Airslide ventilation system. Slide the honeycomb center section up and it opens large forward facing air vents for when you are hot & climbing. Then, easily snap it back down to get back max aero efficiency when overheating is less of a concern or you are leading out for the sprint.

Now no matter which position the Airslide is in, new internal channels offer greater airflow through the helmet for improved air flow. The updated design of the pointy rear ‘Venturi effect’ hood is also said to speed up air though the new helped with a claim of 11% better heat loss than the original Bullet, and even a 4% improvement now over their completely open & lightweight Z1 helmet.

Lazer touts the obvious aero benefits of the closed shape (which they claim add to an 8m gap over 1km vs. the Z1), but just as much that the closed top means more sun/UV protection too.

Adjustability & flexibility is really the hallmark of the Bullet, and version 2.0 has more options than ever before. Now a new magnetic visor can be clipped onto the front of the helmet for lower drag & protection from the elements through Zeiss lens optics. The easily removable lens can be stowed on the back of the helmet too, thanks to magnets.

Lazer offers a smooth closed insert to replace the Airslide setup on Bullet 2.0 if you are looking for max aero gains without the extra ventilation. Plus the helmet also is compatible with Lazer’s optional LifeBeam integrated heatrate monitor for those that want to ditch the chest strap. And you can also fit the Lazer Inclination Sensor, first debuted on their TT helmets that offers audible or vibration reminders to keep your head up in your most aero position.

The CE/CPSC/AS certified aero helmet also gets an updated Advanced Turnfit dial retention system that now includes a red LED blinkie tail light for rear visibility.

The new Lazer Bullet 2.0 is available for 260€ without, or 280€ with a MIPS liner, both including the Zeiss lens and extra top caps. It comes in about six different color options, and three sizes (S, M, L) with a small claimed weight of 375g.
