Not familiar with CLIK Valves? It’s OK, they were introduced in July 2024 with the goal of gaining industry adoption and replacing the Presta valve. As with any new standard that requires new parts, it’s taking a little time, but Lezyne, Schwalbe, and Wolf Tooth Components were among the early adopters.

Basically, the Clik Valve replaces the threaded valve core on your existing tubes and tubeless valve stems, creating a fool-proof connection with compatible pumps. You simply click the pump head onto it, inflate, and pull it off. No twisting, no levers, no risk of damaging or removing the valve core.

Lezyne announced their participation at Sea Otter earlier this year, and now the full collection is online and on sale. Here are your options:

The nice thing is you can retrofit your current Lezyne floor pumps, hand pumps, and any existing tubes or valve stems with removable cores. We’re big fans of flexible hoses on mini pumps, and the new Clik Chuck options make road- and trail-side inflations much faster and simpler.

Do they get gummed up with sealant like presta valves do?

my experience over the past year is that they do not. They are a legitimate step forward

Mine have gunked up but that was with silca sealant. That stuff clogs everything. I never had and issue when using the valves with stans sealant though

How does the Clik valve work? is it like a check valve?

sliding the pumphead on pushes open the valve. It does not rely on air pressure to open. This means you can deflate through the valve also, with a pump head attached.

Finally!

Here’s hoping the Clik valves finally address Lezyne pumps’ propensity to rip off Presta valve cores as you screw the valve chuck off. What a huge pain.

No kidding! Nobody needs Clik more than Lezyne. Nice pumps, though. Just budget another couple bucks for a standard pump head.

Yes, it does. I just reverse the hose and screw the Schraeder adpter into the Schraeder threads, but it works like a normal Clik head does. No more accidentally backing out the valve core.

have it on my overdrive. game changer.

also, tubeless setups seem to hold air much better with clik

Yep, I’ve noticed this too. There must be something about Presta cores that cause leakage. My guess is that a lot of us don’t tighten them too much and the road vibration over time causes micro-leakage that just doesn’t happen with Clik.
