Olaf Gerhardt from Lezyne showed us this little gadget at CORE Bike a few weeks back, but we had to keep it quiet until its official launch at Sea Otter. That time has come, and now we can share the news of Lezyne’s Pocket Torque Drive, a pre-calibrated torsion ratchet wrench packed neatly away into a small, almost pocket-sized case.

Crafted from lightweight machined aluminum in classic Lezyne styling, the Pocket Torque Drive weighs a claimed 75g. Inside its zip-closure case, it sits within molded EVA foam accompanied by 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm hex bits, and T20 and T25 Torx bits.

This mini torsion torque wrench is adjustable between 2-6 Nm in 0.5 Nm increments, striking us as the perfect tool for setting up one’s cockpit components, especially those running carbon handlebars which tend to be more sensitive to over-tightening of stem face-plate bolts, and brake & shifter clamp bolts, etc. With the limited torque range, you wouldn’t be relying on it for everything of course. But it could be a good one to travel with, if space is limited.

A custom Composite Matrix key is included to help easily adjust the wrench’s torque setting

For those needing a torque wrench with a bit more range than this one provides, Lezyne also offer the Torque Drive, a variation on the beam style torque wrench. It has a 2Nm – 10 Nm range, coming with 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6mm Hex bits, T10, T25 and T30 Torx bits, and a Philips and Flat Head screwdriver. It retails at $54.99 USD.

Pricing & Availability

The Lezyne Pocket Torque Drive will set you back $64.99 USD / €64,95.
