State Bicycle Co. takes their pop-culture crossovers to a new dimension with limited edition Rick and Morty collection. Including a few bike options from their affordable Core & Black Label singlespeed road/track/fixie line-up, State mixes it up with portal theme graphics, matching cycling kit, and even bar tape & pedal straps for those not looking to go fully out of this world.
State Bicycle Co. limited edition Rick and Morty collection bikes
State’s animation collaborations always seem to draw big interest to their simple & affordable bikes, and I can only imagine digging in to the Rick & Morty fan base is likely to see this collection sell out pretty quickly. State co-founder Mehdi Farsi says, “We could not be more excited to partner with Rick and Morty. The TV show has been one of the most exciting and daring of the last decade and we feel the opportunity to mix cycling and their favorite pop culture characters will be an awesome opportunity for self-expression for our customers.”
Three bike options are available, one each from the Core-Line & Black Label complete bikes, plus a Black Label frame – all with Interdimensional Portal imagery licensed from the surrealist sci-fi series.
The most affordable is also probably the most portal of them all – the $400 Rick and Morty Core Line Bike with the all-over interdimensional green paint job on the steel singlespeed bike, and the option to pick you preferred cockpit setup – flat, drop or bull horn bars.
At $780, the lighter weight, double-butted aluminum Rick and Morty 6061 Black Label Bike gets a full carbon fork and a more subdued black paint job with portals peeking through on the bike’s logos.
Then, if you want to build up the alloy Black Label bike into a more custom urban fixie or even a proper track bike, there’s also a $400 frameset with the 6061 frame, carbon fork & headset in the full six size range (49-62cm).
State Bicycle Co. limited edition Rick and Morty accessories
Even if you don’t want/need a State fixed gear bike, you can still get in on the Rick and Morty fun with some similarly out there riding & finishing kit. The $80 Rick and Morty Portal Cycling Jersey goes fully into the interdimension jumping mood, or opt for the $80 Rick and Morty Neon Cycling Jersey that draws from the pool of odd beings encountered on adventures through space-time. Lastly, some $90 Rick and Morty Cycling Bibs with finish of your sci-fi cycling kit in style.
A pair of $35 Rick and Morty Foot Straps will lock your feet in place for those quintessential fixie skids – compatible with most flat pedals.
And my personal favorite is just the $25 Rick and Morty Bar Tape, because every drop bar bike could use some new cushioned foam bar tape. And the swirling interdimensional portals look like they’d make the perfect thing to grasp ahold of when you feel like you are spiraling out of control on your next intense effort out on the road.
The whole State Bicycle Co. X Rick & Morty collection is of course exclusively available straight from State. And act fast; I get the sense that this one is going to sell out pretty quickly.
