Strong, light, reliable. Just like they were back in the mid 90’s.

Dead tech ass hammer.”

This bike is completely irrelevant. “new for 2011 73mm bb shell”? really? “new for 2011 27.2mm seatpost”? really? really?

: When they say “new”, they don’t mean they’ve invented a new, proprietary standard, they mean that they’ve changed the specs to better suit current components available.

The M230 (’10 model) had a 68mm English threaded BB shell
The M240 (’11 model) has a 73mm English threaded BB shell, so that you can use typical mountain bike BBs instead of road BBs.

The M230 had a 31.6 mm seatpost
The M240 has a 27.2 mm seatpost so that you get a little more flex from the seatpost and a smoother ride since the bike doesn’t have rear suspension for efficiency and simplicity of design.

The M230 had a 1 1/8 in headtube
The M240 has a 44 mm headtube so that you can more stiffness in the front end and use tapered forks if that’s what you want.
