Just two days ago, we reported on the launch of the Avinox-powered Megamo Upon e-road bike. Today, Megamo is following that up with the announcement of the Along e-gravel bike, so you can unleash Avinox power on any type of road. Like its road-oriented sibling, Megamo has integrated the powerful new Avinox M2S/M2 drive systems into a modern carbon gravel frame so riders can grind gravel faster, farther, and higher.
According to Megamo, “The Along was born with a clear purpose: to take you further, without compromise. It is not an adapted road bike, nor an MTB with a gravel handlebar. It is an e-gravel built for those who explore mixed routes, seek real autonomy, and expect their bike to be up to any adventure.”
Megamo Along Details
All Megamo Along bikes are built around the same high modulus carbon frame, which has been “engineered to handle the vibration and unpredictability of mixed terrain without losing the efficiency that makes long days in the saddle possible.” Megamo says that the frame has been designed with 50c tire clearance “as a non-negotiable baseline,” which is to be expected in the modern gravel era.
The Along comes with a rigid carbon fork, which Megamo states can be swapped out for a 40mm suspension fork without impacting geometry. It has two water bottle mounts in the front triangle, internal cable routing, and 12 x 142mm rear axle spacing. Of course, the frame has also been built around the Avinox drive units and frame-integrated batteries.

Avinox Drive Systems
It was only a couple of months ago that Avinox disrupted the e-bike market — again — with the launch of the M2S and M2 drive units. With power specs that blow all of the other e-bike motors out of the water, the latest from Avinox was as controversial as it was celebrated. There are over 20 eMTBs equipped with these new drive units, including Megamo’s own Reason models. With the Upon e-road bike, the new Along adds a second drop bar model to the growing list of Avinox-equipped bikes.

For a quick refresher, the Avinox M2 and M2S motor power specs are listed below. In the five-bike Along range, Megamo uses both motor variants depending on the build level. The three higher-tier models come with the more powerful M2S, while the two lower-end builds are equipped with the slightly less powerful M2.
- Avinox M2: 110 Nm regular / 125 Nm boost · 1100 W peak · 2.65 kg
- Avinox M2S: 130 Nm regular / 150 Nm boost · 1300 W regular / 1500 W boost · 2.6 kg
Similar to the Upon e-road bike, Megamo tells us that the highly tunable Avinox drive systems have been specifically tuned for gravel use. The stated objectives of the factory gravel tune are: “Smooth power delivery on rolling terrain, progressive support on climbs, and enough reserve for technical sections without feeling artificial.”

The three assistance modes are controlled by the handlebar-mounted BC100 remote, so riders can safely switch modes with their hand on the bars, and information is shown on the top-tube integrated DPC100 display. Riders can also fine-tune assistance modes to suit personal preferences or terrain through the Avinox app.
All models come with the same frame-integrated 600Wh battery, but the M2S comes with a 12A fast charger, and the M2 models come with the 4A standard charger.

Geometry
According to Megamo, the Along isn’t just a road bike adapted to fit wider tires. Instead, they gave it a gravel-specific geometry with the goal of creating a bike that excels at mixed-terrain riding and is comfortable over long distances. In fact, they even laid out their parameters and design rationale for us.
- Reach / Stack Balance: Upright-forward position — maximises comfort on long mixed-terrain rides without penalising power transfer on climbs.
- Chainstay Length: Lengthened vs pure road to improve traction on loose surfaces and provide room for 50c tyres without heel clearance issues.
- Bottom Bracket Drop: Moderate drop keeps the centre of gravity low while maintaining enough clearance for gravel-specific tyre widths.
- Head Tube Angle: Slightly slacker than road (71–72°) for predictable steering on gravel descents and loaded bikepacking setups.
- Tyre Clearance: Minimum 50c (full mud) on all sizes — the geometry is built around the tyre, not adapted to it.
The Megamo Along is available in four frame sizes, S to XL. Take a look at the geometry chart below for all of the details.

Megamo Along: Builds and Pricing
Megamo is offering the Along in five distinct build levels, all of which are built around the same carbon fiber frame and come with 600Wh batteries and the same Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed 50c tires. The three pricier builds come with the more powerful Avinox M2S motor, integrated carbon cockpits, carbon seatposts, and 12A Fast Chargers. Color options are Pop Green and Sand.
