Spanish bikemaker MMR’s top lightweight carbon Rakish SL cross-country and Adrenaline SL road bikes get custom Fernando Alonso special editions, celebrating the return to racing of the Spanish F1 driver. MMR x Fernando Alonso special edition road & mountain bikes

MMR says they are excited to support the return to Formula One racing of their most famous brand ambassador Fernando Alonso. Calling him “the most talented [driver] of the modern era”, Alonso is said to have long been a local inspiration for “every worker at MMR”. And with the brand’s top lightweight XC hardtail and lightweight road bikes serving as training tools for the F1 driver, MMR was excited to prepare these special edition bikes.

Both the Rakish SL mountain & Adrenaline SL road bikes share the same graphics design, with a color scheme reminiscent of Alonso’s winning racecars, and artwork incorporating elements from each of his major race wins. Fading from mirror chrome to sparkling metallics, MMR calls the bikes jewels “representing speed, emotion, and technology”.

The only bummer is, that if you want the same custom paint job, you’ll likely have to win a bunch of Formula One World Championships and 24 Hours of Le Mans yourself. In the meantime, standard editions of both bikes are also available…

MMR Rakish SL Fernando Alonso special edition carbon XC mountain bike

The Rakish SL is MMR’s top-tier, 995g hi-mod carbon 29er cross-country hardtail mountain bike, as raced on the XCO World Cup.

Alonso’s own edition complete XC bike build includes a 100mm RockShox SID Ultimate fork, SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS wireless groupset, Reverb AXS dropper, Prototype World Cup carbon wheels wrapped in 2.3″ Hutchinson Kraken tires, plus an FSA carbon cockpit & a custom-painted Selle Italia SLS Boost Carbonio saddle.

The standard top-spec 2021 Rakish SL 00 with mostly the same build kit retails for 5560€, but with a Ritchey WCS cockpit, carbon seatpost & Selle San Marco saddle. The stock bike features a silver-to-black fade paintjob, and is available in four stock sizes with a steep 69.5° head angle.

MMR Adrenaline SL Fernando Alonso special edition carbon road bike

The Adrenaline SL is MMR’s top-tier light road bike, combing a conventional frame design with an aero-optimized front triangle and fully internal cable routing.

Alonso’s own edition complete road bike build includes a SRAM Red AXS 2×12 wireless groupset, 140mm disc brakes, and DT Swiss’ latest ARC aero wheels with 28mm Hutchinson Fusion-5 tubeless tires, plus an integrated FSA carbon cockpit & custom-painted Selle Italia SLR Boost Carbonio saddle

The regular top-spec 2021 Adrenaline SL 00 also shares a similar build, with the more conventional silver-to-black fade paint for 6360€, with a lower-spec DT PRC carbon wheelset. The regular Adrenaline SL 00 is available in five stock sizes (XS-XL), with geometry designed to be comfortable for all-day riding.
