In my opinion, there can never be enough small bike bag makers out there in the world. They’re just trying to make life easier by supplying bags to make #ridebikesbringstuff more of a reality for you and yours. Along those lines, I’d like to share a bag maker that we discovered recently, MoosePacks.

Founded in 2015 in Boone, North Carolina by Matt Moosa, they are now located in Austin Texas. They offer a good selection of core bike bags (handlebar, seat, top tube, and stem bags) that are ready to ship now.

This core line is designed and tested in-house and then sent out to be manufactured by a US manufacturer to help build their inventory of these core bags. All frame bags, and custom “one-off” project bags, as well as the development of any new bags, are all designed and manufactured in-house.

They offer a wide variety of colors in US-made X-Pac and imported recycled fabric from Challenge. Their website says that they “promote sustainable practices for a clean environment”. Matt says that he “realizes the importance of saving scrap fabrics to reduce material waste”.

Let’s check out some of the core bags that are available now.

MoosePack Handlebar Bag

The MoosePack Handlebar Bag is made with ECOPAK fabric and lined with 450 ripstop recycled polyester. It uses a YKK water-resistant zipper tape. It comes with five ger hooks on the front of the bag to allow for attaching accessories, like lights. There is a a “low-key” safety whistle on the end of the zipper pull.

MoosePack Top Tube Bag

MoosePack’s Top Tube Bag is made in the US with ECOPAK recycled fabric with a YKK water-resistant zipper. MoosePack Seat Bag

The MoosePack Seat Bag is also constructed using ECOPAK fabric and lined with 200 denier recycled pack cloth. Both of those fabrics are coated with water-resistant (DWR) coating. It uses a YKK water-resistant zipper and nylon buckle strap attachment around the seat rails making it compatible with most dropper posts. It comes equipped with a reflective zipper pull.

It has a closed-cell foam liner that helps keep your bottle cooler on hotter rides. It comes equipped with two outer pockets, holding the smaller essentials. It uses a drawcord for the top closure to keep your goodies from popping out.
