Another heavy-hitter from the world of motorsports enters the commuter e-bike segment — welcome MV Agusta. The 75-year-old motorcycle maker revealed its AMO single-speed e-bike collection at this year’s e-Bike Festival in Dortmund.
MV Augusta AMO e-bikes
Three single-speed models round out the AMO set: the RR, the smaller R, and the classically styled SV. The bikes can reach speeds up to 20 mph and cover more than 45 miles on a single 4-hour charge.
AMO RR e-bike – $3,350 MSRP starting
The RR stands to be MV Agusta’s flagship e-bike — a high-contrast paint job (black/red or black/yellow), clean geometry, carbon fork, and Pirelli Cycle-e tires make this one stand out from the influx of electric commuters out there. A Mahle X35 propulsion system and undetectable Gates Carbon Drive CDX power the RR. And the carbon belt drive is said to be as silent as it is hidden.

AMO SV e-bike – pricing not yet available
The SV pairs a modern frame with the brand’s iconic Superveloce motorcycles. MV Agusta will release the SV on a limited basis and not until June 2022 — so we await more info about the model’s specs. We do know that it will be available in glossy yellow or matte red, and MV Augusta claims that the SV’s components are “of the highest level.”
The buy
MV Agusta’s R and SV models will hit the market in May and June, respectively, but the AMO RR is available now. Head to the moto maker’s site to learn more and stay up on its forthcoming e-bikes.
