A new MyCanyon Abell paint job makes official what we saw at the Tour de France this summer – the custom green constellation ridden by Jasper Philipsen for just one day, after one day in yellow. But now that it’s officially part of Canyon’s semi-custom finish program, you too can ride a shiny green Aeroad CFR. Plus, Canyon has extended its semi-custom fit range too, adding shorter crankset options down to 160mm for riders looking to up their cadence.
MyCanyon Aeroad CFR goes green with sprinter’s Abell finish

Canyon calls the new green paint scheme a celebration of speed. The new look is named after the constellation discovered by astronomer George Abell, and features a design hand-stamped and sprayed to mimic the “greenish light pattern” emitted from the planetary nebula. It’s unsurprisingly part of the MyCanyon Astro series in their hand-painted Mano collection.

“When Jasper Philipsen finished this year’s La Vuelta, he didn’t just confirm his consistency after 3 weeks of stage racing, in which he won three stages and countless intermediate sprints, but he also put his 2025 Tour de France demons to bed, following his horror crash on stage 3. Now, after wearing the green jersey in both Grand Tours, Canyon has released a special edition green ‘Abell’ design as part of its MyCanyon customisation programme, in tribute to one of the greatest sprinters of his generation.”
Shorter cranks mean more fit options with MyCanyon now available worldwide

MyCanyon has only been around since the start of this year. It started as US-only, yet is now available globally.
It is still limited to just the one Aeroad CFR bike, though, with just two premium core builds – Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 or SRAM RED AXS, and two wheelset options. But you do get to customize your cockpit fit quite a bit beyond the norm. Now, more crankset size options expand that semi-customization. And there are a lot more shorter crank options.
For now, Dura-Ace buyers can add 160mm cranks to the standard 170, 172.5 & 175mm offering. And Red buyers can add 160, 165 & 167.5mm arms to the mix. And if you are willing to wait until November, Shimano 165s and SRAM 162.5mm arms will be available, too.

Now we just have to hold out for more bikes to get the MyCanyon semi-custom treatment, and maybe even more build kit options.
