Gaulzetti Cicli makes one kind of bike: Aluminum racing road bikes called the Corsa.
He uses proprietary alloy tubing made for them by Dedacciai in Italy. They’re designed with traditional euro racing geometry, all made to measure for the customer from a base of 20 stock sizes with either flat or sloping top tube. New for 2011, he’s started using the 44mm head tube, which allows them to use any fork and exceed any impact standard, and started building the frames with a PF30 BB.
Frames start at $2,800 with fork, headset and seat mast topper. Shown after the break, you can pay an extra $500 to get it drilled and wired for Di2 with their very nice battery mount…click through to check it out. Lead time is 4-8 weeks, and you can get them painted in any color except teal (shown here is Mire Green).
The 44mm ID headtube allows for a wide range of headsets to be used, accommodating any sort of steerer tube you’re likely to use.
Gaulzetti says most of his bikes are sold with the integrated seatmast, but you can get a frame without it.
In the pics above, you can see the Di2 wires enter the downtube just behind the headtube. They’re carried internally to the battery, which has a custom mount integrated into the rear of the seatmast.
