NAHBS 2010Kelly Bedford was showing off his all-new TiComp titanium 29er mountain bike, using one made for U23 World Champion Aleksandra Dawidowicz Polish World Cup Pro Aleksandra Rokita Mooradian as a fine example. Built as shown with SRAM XX and the Rockshox Reba XX 29er fork, it weighed in at 20.5lbs with pedals.

Bedford, who built for Serotta for 20+ years had plenty of other bikes on display, too, yours to see after the break…

Lots of folks don’t paint their Ti bikes, but this one had a great pearl white and sparkly blue paint job…with a little raw titanium showing through on the rear.  The massive headtube increases strength while allowing it to be short, keeping the overall height manageable for smaller riders on a 29er.  The downward angled Ritchey stem didn’t hurt, either.

A small panel takes the place of a brake bridge to solidify the rear triangle and provide clearance for the larger wheels on a rather petite frame.

The rear end gave Aleksandra’s competitors a bullet point presentation on getting beaten.

This road bike is Bedford’s Premier Lugged Brazed road bike with Reynolds 953 stainless steel front triangle and chromoly stays.  As with all of his frames, their handbuilt to order and fully custom to your body.  This one starts at $2,950 for frame and carbon fork (either Serotta F3 or Alpha-Q).

Like most builders, he’ll build up a fork for you, too, and isn’t immune to the lure of internal cable routing.
