Rapha Continental was kind enough to host a Gentlemen’s ride this morning complete with an assortment of muffins and coffee (which flew in the face of my no-sugar-added experiment). Turnout was solid, and we ended the ride with a nice cobblestone climb. I took some video with the GoPro HD, which I’ll edit down and post later this week, but here are a few pics of people and bikes from the lobby start…
The dude that rode this finished strong. 30º weather probably tested the “oven hot” claim.
Lots of fixies and singlespeeds on the ride, too.
This Circle Cycles bike was apparently an entry into the Oregon Manifest’s Constructor’s Challenge.
Check out the color matched racks and fenders and the sweet detail on the fender attachment.
Rapha represented with several riders on their black and pink bikes, mixing themselves throughout the pack to help keep everything gentlemanly. Seems many of the “industry” folk were out late the night before and, as Chris DeStefano from Chris King/Cielo said, they didn’t want the ride to turn into a contest of “big swingin’ dicks.”
Good times.
