Adidas is once again ramping up their Sport Eyewear brand. That means you have even more options when it comes to finding that perfect pair of cycling shades. Now, the iconic brand is introducing their newest eyewear tech – Kolor Up.
SP0004
Claiming to “visually enhance your surrounding light, color, and contrast”, Kolor Up promises to be one of those technologies that makes everything look better through the lenses. Currently limited to two new models, it sounds like we’ll see more introduced in the future.
Those two new models start with the SP0004 which is a squared off shield-style with a full frame.
Made from light weight TR90 material, the frame features curved temples with rubber tips to keep them in place. The nose pads feature a three position adjustment which helps to accommodate large or small noses. You’ll also find “aerodynamic intake vents” on the top of the frame which claim to keep the glasses ventilated and prevent fogging.
Offered in the Kolor Up model for $160, there is also a version with photochromic lenses for $190.
SP0012
For a more feminine style that could be used on or off the bike, the SP0012 is an interesting option. These also have a ventilation system with 12 vents on the top of the TR90 frame.
The temples include a slight wrap with rubber tips to give the casual style glasses staying power. Available in Kolor Up models for $130 or $140 depending on the style, there is also a model with polarized lenses for $160.
