BIKERUMOR.com 2009 SEA OTTER CLASSIC COVERAGE: Fizik had their new team color models of the Antares seat.  Now you can deck your bike out to look like the Cervelo Test Team (red/black), Cofidis (red/white), Francais des Jeux (blue/white) and others.  All but the yellow/white version are available in the U.S. market, and all but the black/white models are sold only as a kit that includes the seat and their split tape that matches the colors, wrapping your road handlebar in one color on the drops and another on the tops (check the pic after the break).
MSRP for the kit is $219 and seat weight is 165g.  If that’s too heavy, you can opt for the black w/ white trim saddle.  That’s the carbon-railed model that retails for $229, weighs 145g and doesn’t come with matching tape.
Read “more” to see their other new stuff, including a “Green Apple” color bar tape…
Here’s the split bar tape for the white/black model.
The underside of the carbon rail Antares saddle.
This little pad is a suede-like fabric sticker designed to prevent slipping on the seat, particularly for Triathletes as they come straight from the water to the bike, however the Fizik rep said pro road racers were using them for wet-weather races, too.  They come in a 3-pack with black, red and blue for $12.99.  Each one lasts for only a few rides.
Available in their Microtex bar tape line, Fizik has “Green Apple” color.  Why?  Because green means go.
