With headquarters only 40km apart and products focused on the same type of riders, British Columbia based brands Rocky Mountain (North Vancouver B.C) and 7mesh (Squamish, B.C.) already have a lot in common. For 2017 they’re going a step further with the new Coastal Collaboration line of clothing. The line mixes spandex offerings for the XC crowd and more relaxed fit items for freeriders for both men and women.

The line features the technological know how of 7mesh with the design elements from Rocky Mountain. “We chose to work with 7mesh on our Coastal Collaboration as we share the same back yard,” said Scott Pilecki, Sports Marketing Coordinator at Rocky Mountain. “Both brands’ products respond to the demands of our challenging environments, and we see a likeness in how we approach designing and following through with our products. We are proud to offer this line-up to our fans.” The Rocky Mountain Bicycles Factory XC team will be riding the Coastal Collaboration line for the race season.

The line is only available for a limited time and can be found at Rocky Mountain dealers or on the Rocky Mountain website.

Limar

Italian helmet maker Limar has added the new 797 to their Reflective Range of helmets. All helmets in the line have reflective elements along the side, rear, and straps along with an integrated rear light. The 797 features 19 vents, antibacterial pads, and a bug net to function as an all around lid for the road, trail, gravel or commuting.

The 797 is also available in five non-reflective colors but still retains the rear tail light. Retail for the 797 is €99.95 and can be found at Limar.com.

Tifosi

New for 2017, Tifosi is expanding their line with the Synapse, designed for all day wear in all conditions. The frame is Grilamid TR-90 plastic and features hydrophilic rubber on the adjustable nose and ear pieces. The polycarbonate lenses are vented to prevent fogging and increase airflow.

The Synapse is available in matte black, race red, and race neon. The black and red versions come with three sets of lenses, clarion red, AC red, and clear for the red pair and smoke, AC red, and clear for the black pair. The Race Neon set comes with only their Fototec lens, which automatically adjust to light levels.
