Phoenix, Arizona’s Lectric Bikes announces its first eBike with Pinion shifting and Gates belt drive tech — introducing the new Lectric ONE. This new eBike is their most high-tech to date, providing Lectric users with a new level of technology innovation for the first time. 6-speed Pinion gearbox, push-button electronic shifting, and the hassle-free Gates belt drive.

The Lectric One is designed and built for riders who want both a durable commuter and world-class tech. Also, with Pinion’s Smart.Shift and the Gates Carbon Belt Drive system, the riders will have a virtually maintenance-free steed that will make your daily commute easier than ever.

Equipped with a Pinion gearbox and electronic shifting, the Smart.Shift system gives the rider modern shifting precision at the push of a button. Like paddle shifters in a car, the Pinion’s Smart.Shift delivers shifts quickly and intuitively.

Then, the beauty of the Gates Carbon Belt drive system is it’s nearly maintenance-free. Comparatively, it uses a carbon fiber-reinforced belt to provide a chainless drivetrain that is clean, quiet, smooth-running, and strong. Therefore, the Gates belt lasts longer than standard chains. It won’t rust, or need to be lubricated, thus providing the rider with a more reliable everyday ride.

A Word From Lectric

The technology built into this [e]bike is going to appeal to serious commuters, and the maintenance-free aspect that comes along with that tech will excite everyday riders,” said Lectric eBikes CEO and cofounder, Levi Conlow. “And no other [e]bike on the market has this level of world-class technology at such a low price.”

Conlow continued: “We’re committed to bringing great design and the latest tech to our diverse community of riders, and our ongoing partnerships with such industry leaders as Pinion and Gates will help us continue to be the most popular eBike brand in America.”

The Lectric ONE is powered by Lectric’s proprietary Bafang Sutto 750-watt Stealth M24 rear hub motor technology. As “the lightest ebike with a 750-watt motor”, the Lectric ONE boasts the “highest power-to-weight ratio of any eBike ever.” In addition, the Lectric ONE features a backlit color LCD display to keep an eye on your pedal-assist stats.

It uses hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors to stop, and to activate the built-in brake/tail light. The ONE‘s 20″ wheels sport 2.5″ city tires with 3mm ‘Hippo Skin’ Aramid breaker to resist punctures. And Shark Skin Protection on the sidewall to help keep pinch flats at bay.

ONE Battery Options

The Lectric ONE is available with two 48V lithium-ion battery options – a standard 500Wh (10.4Ah) and a 675Wh (14Ah) option for extra range. The 500Wh battery provides approximately 45 miles on a single charge. On the other hand, the 675Wh battery claims up to 60 miles on a single charge.

The Lectric ONE is certified to UL 2849, a bi-national accredited consensus standard for the U.S. and Canada, covering micro-mobility devices like eBikes. They take a holistic electrical system approach to the safety of battery packs and battery management to minimize risks associated with battery usage. The standard includes the battery cell, battery pack, electric motor, and battery charger.

Lectric ONE – Pricing and Availability

The new Lectric ONE commuter ebike retails for $1,999 with the standard 10.4Ah battery, or $2,199 with the extended range 14Ah battery. Reminder: During the pre-order phase, both above prices include free fenders, headlight, and a rear rack (a $220 value)

they have to be losing money on every single one of these. MSRP for that gearbox is more than the whole bike.
