2013 Nuke Proof Pulse downhill mountain bike

Nuke Proof’s 2013 lineup sees two new bikes and a split in the all-mountain oriented Mega into two travel options.

The new Pulse downhill bike (above) pushes their Scalp DH down a peg in their gravity lineup. It slightly tweaks the geometry, getting a bit longer, and gets adjustable dropouts to let you change the wheelbase/chainstay length.

The Mega expands into two bikes, a 160mm enduro model (replaces the 150mm model) with either a Rockshox Monarch or Cane Creek DB shock, and a 140mm trail model that’s a bit lighter and can run up to a 160mm fork. Both frames are ready for the Stealth Reverb dropper post.

The Rook is an all new slopestyle bike developed with input from Jack Fogelquist. Headtube is designed for an integrated hydraulic gyro set up that’s compatible with models from Trickstuff or Straitline. Sold as a frame only, includes shifter bracket for putting rear shifter on the downtube and with a spacer to fill in the headtube if you’re running a standard headset. Retail is €1,349. Despite the bike being made for the Californian, Nuke Proof is still seeking solid US distribution.
