When I first saw an NWD film, it changed what I thought possible on a mountain bike. That video opened the door to a kid from the Midwest who at that point, thought mountain biking was only XC racing with lycra and bar ends. Like most of my riding friends, I grew up with the NWD series, so to speak, and was sad to see the series come to an end at #10.
All good things must come to an end, and there are some incredible new movies popping up on a daily basis, but NWD will always be the one that started it all, for me. Happily, Freeride Entertainment is providing us a look back through all 10 episodes with NWD Greatest Hits. Watch as some of the most memorable moments in early freeriding are revisited like the infamous Jah Drop, Cedric’s antics, Bourdon’s flat spin, Cam McCaul’s rise to the top, and the overall transition from old school to new school freeriding.
