If you get our tweets and live in the NYC, roll over to Spector Hall located at 22 Reade Street in Manhattan. The meeting started 20 minutes ago (10am EST) to discuss zoning changes to require indoor, secure, long-term bicycle parking in new multi-family residential, community facility and commercial buildings. City Planning surveys have found that a lack of bicycle parking in offices is one of the main reasons that more cyclists do not bike to work.
Following the City Planning Commission’s review and vote on the proposal, the City Council will have up to 50 days to review the text amendment.
For more information about the proposal, contact the Transportation Division of the Department of City Planning at 212-442-4630 or read it online.  Sorry for the late notice, we just found out, too.
