Whether you’re headed off to a day at the office and hoping to squeeze in a workout, or simply looking for a backpack to manage all of your riding essentials, OGIO has a bag for you. The bigger brother of the X-Train Lite and the successor to the original X-Train, the X-Train 2 is essentially an organized gym bag that doubles as a backpack complete with padded laptop storage. Built with provisions for bike, yoga, gym, and running gear as well as pockets for nutrition, tech, valuables, and even wet clothing, not being able to find what you need in your duffel bag will no longer be an excuse…

Looking a bit like a contoured box with shoulder straps, the bag’s shape owes itself to the cavernous 3,000 cubic inch interior. Constructed from 420D Cross Dobby ripstop polyester and 210D Hexa Cross fabric with a tarpulin base, the X-Train 2 is made to be extremely durable but light enough to make it comfortable for every day use with a claimed weight of 3.2 pounds.

In addition to the oversized main compartment,  the bag offers a mesh shoe compartment at the bottom of the bag that loads from the side. This should keep your workout kicks or bike shoes from getting too ripe in transit. Other workout gear additions include an external retractable bungee for bike helmet storage, a ventilated dirty clothes compartment, and the ability to hold your yoga mat, transition mat, towel, presentation poster, travel fishing pole, etc.

The big pockets take care of the bulky items, but your smaller items are cared for as well with features like the crush resistant valuables pocket. Located on the very top of the bag for easy access, the valuables pocket is lockable, fleece lined, and includes storage for your phone, sport watch, sunglasses, and other small items. Additional pockets offer specific organization for nutrition products and a full size, insulated water bottle pocket. Just in case you need to ride to your destination while wearing the X-Train 2, the bag is hydration bladder compatible and also includes external straps to mount a flashing light.

Available now from OGIO, the X-Train 2 retails for $79.99.

I really hope they made the slot for the yoga mat elastic to allow longer mats to fit. Great looking bag for the price.

Why is it that dinner is “food” while a musli bar or gel tube is a “nutrition product”? Pseudo-scientific snobbery is what it looks like. Similarly, “drink” isn’t good enough anymore, now it has to be “hydration”. But I’m pretty sure fancy greek/latin words don’t make you any faster.

(The backpack is probably ok!)

(Zach, sorry for venting my linguistic peeve, this came out more negative than intended.)

Why is a sleeping bag pad a yoga mat if it’s less than 2′ wide?
