Until today, lowrider racks have been kinda limited to specific bikes (usually touring bikes) with mid-fork rack mounts. But with the OMM Axle Mounting Fit Kits and Pucks, the Impala Lowrider is compatible with nearly all road, gravel, or MTB forks. Boom.
The Impala Lowrider is the perfect front rack for gravel, paved roads, or wider trails where navigating through large boulders and tight bushes isn’t a concern. It’s ultra stable and is designed specifically for carrying heavier front loads.
One of the differentiating features of the Impala Lowrider compared to others is its cargo deck. This provides more space for gear and is easier to access while riding.
Some of the rack’s superior stability comes from lowering the bike’s center of gravity. This is done by carrying the weight of panniers on the wheel’s center, instead of 6″ above it like other racks. Having your panniers low like this also mitigates wheel flop caused by weight mounted higher up.
OMM’s racks are known for having versatility built right into the design, and the Impala Lowrider is no exception. The Impala Lowrider is capable of mounting to full suspension, gravel, road, and even Tri bikes if that’s your jam.
Using OMM’s Fit Kit, you can swap between bikes and even mount the racks to a bike that isn’t made for racks.
