Parcours just released its 2025 wheel lineup, including upgrades and updates for rim and disc brake riders.

What’s the marquee news? A new 36T star ratchet freehub, a redesigned Grimpeur rim brake wheelset, and a lighter disc wheel—all aimed at making every watt count. If you’re the type who geeks out over engagement angles, aero gains, and wheel weights, this one’s for you.

Star Ratchet Update

Parcours’ 2025 range gets a major drivetrain update with an all-new 36T star ratchet freehub.

For those who don’t know about the Star Ratchet, unlike traditional pawl systems, the Star Ratchet design boosts contact surface area, improving durability and engagement while reducing moving parts.

Bonus? It also allows tool-free bearing access, making maintenance a breeze (and you can swap cassettes between wheels easily if you have a bunch).Expect this new freehub system on all premium models, while the entry-level wheelsets will stick with the classic pawl design to keep costs down.

Disc Brake Line: Lighter, Faster, More Versatile

Parcours’ disc brake wheels aren’t just getting a facelift—they’re getting all-around performance upgrades:

Star Ratchet Freehub: Featured on all high-end models for improved reliability and easy maintenance.

Lighter Disc Wheel: The Parcours Disc Wheel drops 100g, now tipping the scales at just 1,150g. New molding tech helps shed weight while keeping the same pro-level aerodynamics.

Entry-Level Models: The Paniagua and Alta wheelsets keep the pawl freehub while bringing top-tier performance at a budget-friendly price.

  • Wider Profile—The maximum external width grows to 29.5mm, while the internal width stays at 22.5mm, matching the #ThinkWider ethos.
  • Lighter Build – The Grimpeur now weighs just 1,300g, shedding grams without sacrificing strength.
  • Star Ratchet Freehub – Grimpeur and Chrono now sport the new Star Ratchet system, while the Passista keeps the pawl design (but can be upgraded post-purchase).
  • Entry-Level Passista – A more affordable way to get into Parcours’ rim brake lineup without skimping performance.

“We’re stoked to launch the MY25 range, bringing our proven performance to a wider audience with new entry-level options while pushing the technical boundaries with our premium wheels. The addition of the star ratchet freehub, weight reductions, and an updated Grimpeur rim brake wheelset marks a big step forward for us. We can’t wait for riders to feel the difference.”
