Polygon just dropped a new endurance road Strattos C all-rounder that’s said to be lighter, faster, and more comfortable than its predecessor. Now with room for up to 34mm tires and further dropped narrow seatstays for more rear-end compliance, the new Polygon Strattos C is built for all-day riding on all-roads. And while it’s not as cheap as the surprisingly low-priced carbon Strattos S, the new Strattos C is one of the most affordable road bikes you can buy with electronic groupsets, aero carbon wheels, integrated cockpits, and the best of all the latest modern road bike standards.

Polygon created the all-new Strattos C to take their all-day, ‘long ride’ endurance road bike family to the next level. Polygon is vague as to what the C really stands for. But comfort, compliance & control get mentioned a lot. Those three Cs seem to be the heart of the redesign of the low-cost all-rounder carbon Strattos family, giving this new bike bigger tires not only to open it up to all-road riding, but really just to smooth out all roads.

They say the new Strattos C proves that comfort and performance don’t have to be mutually exclusive. The new bike combines higher Stack figures with generally shorter Reach to create a comfortable, more upright rider position – “critically reducing strain on the rider’s back and shoulders“. But it still retains steep road geometry and even short chainstays for such big tire clearance, to retain a sharp handling feel.

Integrated carbon LINC components

The new Strattos C also takes advantage of Polygon’s sister carbon component company LINC, to provide an affordable integrated cockpit solution. The all-new 1-piece integrated carbon bar and stem is a first for LINC, which until now only made lightweight carbon wheels. The new LINC Carbon Integrated cockpit comes in three widths (38/40/42mm) with three lengths to the -10° stem (90/110/120mm). The aero bar features a flattened top and a compact bend with 75mm reach, 125mm drop. And of course, it hides your brake lines fully internally, routed through matching steerer spacers into the new carbon frame through the headset.

The top spec Polygon Strattos C bike also features the lightest wheels in the LINC line-up. The Alpha 35 wheels have a claimed weight of just 1290g, featuring a 35mm deep, 22mm internal carbon rim laced to oversized alloy hubs with aero bladed Vonda carbon spokes, 21 front & 24 rear.
