Our boy Rob Morgan, who recently reviewed the Velocite Magnus road bike, just got his hands on the 2011 Teschner 703 Aero bike. Teschner, which only just came available in the U.S. in August, is a fairly big brand in founder Peter Teschner’s hometown of Byron Bay, Australia.
It came in as a frameset, so the build here is his shop’s doing, but we’ve got some more photos after the break, including the full frame on the scale…
…wait for it…
That would be 5.38lbs, which includes the aero carbon seatpost, clamp, saddle clamp, headset, chainstay protector and cable protectors. Not included in the weight but coming with the bike are the front and rear brake calipers and bolts.
The Teschner 703 Aero (it’s also available in a Track version) uses full internal cable routing, an eccentric BB so it can run a 65mm BB drop for road riding and 55mm drop for track, sliding rear dropouts and a hi-mod carbon frame. Full review coming later.
