The Quadratec tailgate bike pad for the Jeep Gladiator uses a dense, soft-top vinyl cover and foam-padded backside to guard the tailgate against scratches and dings. Quadratec optimized the pad’s shape so that it never obstructs the factory backup camera’s view. A hook and loop flap protects the tailgate latch without getting in the way of function.
And, then there’s the integrated bike tiedown system that can secure up to five bicycles at a time.
According to Dan O’Connor, Quadratec’s senior category manager, the custom design “makes the loading and unloading of your bikes a breeze and is a sensible alternative for those who do not want to mount a heavier bicycle rack.” He also said that the Gladiator pad is “perfect for those off-the-road mountain bike adventures.”
