Freecaster.tv has lots of video coverage online from Bromont’s Nissan UCI World Cup downhill and 4-cross.  Above is the DHI highlights, check there site for more.
Pro mountain biker Jeremiah Bishop went down hard at the Intermontane Challenge, suffering a 20% compression fracture of the Thorasic 4 and fracture of 5. Oh, and a few bruises and a sore neck.  He’s able to move around and ride the trainer, though, so he should be back in form in no time. Our writer Heidi posted an interview with him about the wipeout here.
He ain’t the only one.  VeloNews is reporting that Taylor Phinney, after experiencing dizziness and slower than expected recovery from his crash during the Cascade Classic in July, had a follow-up X-ray that found a fracture of his C5 vertebra.  Phinney: “So…turns out I broke my dorsal spine of my C5…Explains a lot. No Tour of Utah for me!”
Speaking of the Tour of Utah, Floyd Landis challenged Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams to a Time Trial last night…then Williams challenged him in a 3-point shoot off.  Video of Williams getting winded after riding up and down the street is here.
Many other Team Ouch riders are in our home state of NC today and tomorrow getting ready to race parts of the Crossroads Classic and Hanes Park Crit.
