The City of Raleigh is partnering with the NC Department of Transportation Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation to develop a citywide comprehensive bicycle plan. The City’s original bicycle plan was adopted in 1991 and subsequently incorporated in the City’s Comprehensive Plan. This comprehensive bicycle plan will include a thorough update of the original plan and provide an integrated, seamless transportation framework to facilitate cycling as a viable transportation alternative throughout the City. Greenways, Inc., the lead consultant working on the plan and has established a public comment survey for at www.greenways.com/raleighbike. Please offer your comments and suggestions on ways to improve bicycle transportation in Raleigh.
