Last year Rapha dropped their new Crit racing collection inspired by the color-changing look of an oil spill. It apparently was as popular as it was wild looking in blue-green, and sold out fast. So this summer Rapha brings back the Crit again in more subdued gray, plus a limited re-release of one jersey in the original blue.

Just like the original, the new Crit kit is designed for fast, chaotic criterium racing. Again there are reflective details that will pop on the night racing scene. And the new crinkled-looking gray jerseys feature the same see-through mesh race number pockets, and close Pro Team level aero fits.

The 2019 Crit collection includes a $165/145€ Crit Pro Team Jersey available in both the new gray, and last year’s blue. A women-specific cut $165/145€ is available in gray only, with the same tech details as the men’s.

A matching pair of $245/210€ Crit Pro Team Bib Shorts get gray oil slick mesh bib straps, longer cut legs, and a pattern redesign with only seam in the shorts for streamline airflow & improved aerodynamics.

A new $315 / 270€ Crit Pro Team Aerosuit comes only in the new gray, thankfully with black bottoms. It shares the same new aero tech & longer legs of the Crit bibs.

$245 for bibs to race crits in? Lol have these guys ever raced a crit? $40 PBK bibs, old Jersey, and an aluminum frameset for the win.

One must remember – Crits, like Nascar is really an “American” thing 🙂

If the people who get paid to wear Rapha appear to be totally miserable, imagine how the rest of us who don’t get paid to wear it would feel . Yikes! Someone needs to alert marketing that the unhappy hipster face is dead.

How many people are there out there riding crits that aren’t registered to a club (and thus wearing their club kit)? I know where I am it can’t be more than 5% of racers….

Its a cool jersey, but I think it would make more sense if it was just a regular jersey without the special pockets….

I’d like to see the jersey fabric used by other manufacturers.
