SR Suntour Fork RecallTwo recalls announced this week: SR Suntour is recalling approximately 17,000 Suspension forks manufactured in China. The internal support tubes can possibly break and cause the rider to lose control, fall and crash. So far, there have been 12 reports of this incident.  Three brands used these forks – Giant, GT, and Trek.

Sold at shops nationwide from April 2011 through March 2012, these forks are found on Giant’s Revel 1 and Revel 1W models, GT’s Avalanche 4.0 and Avalanche 4.0 GTW, and Trek’s 3700D and 3900D. If you have one of these models, it’s recommended that you return them to any authorized GT, Giant, or Trek retailer for a repair. For more info, contact SR Suntour at (855) 205-2453 or follow the link. Full recall details at CSPC here.

Bravo to bike companies that care this much. I like Topeak pumps and this just further improves my impression on them.
