Continuing to innovate with new ideas for on-bike comfort, Redshift Sports has released some new products. Introducing the Top Shelf Handlebar Bag, and new low flare versions of the Kitchen Sink, and Top Shelf Bar, plus narrower sizes for all.
Remember the Top Self Riser drop bar that I wrote about back in April? The bar they sent me back then was a 47cm width with a 25-degree flare. The bar was nice, but the width and flare didn’t work for me.
Now that they offer wider versions with less flair, they sent a 50cm, 10-degree flare option to me. Along with the new bar, they sent the new custom bag that is made for the Top Shelf bar with it as well.
Redshift Top Shelf Bag
We covered the Top Shelf bar in the article mentioned above, so let’s dive into the Top Shelf Bag. The Top Shelf Bag is a stable and secure way to bring extra goodies on a ride. It’s specifically designed for the Top Shelf Bar.
It mounts perfectly to the Top Shelf Bar. It was easy to mount and seemed to be very secure.
The inside is chock full of pockets and compartments, making organizing your stuff easy-peasy. The zippered mesh pocket is a nice touch for your phone for a quick glance. And the reinforced side panels keep their shape, making the occasional rummage for a snack, uneventful.
It uses two types of closures for the top flap. There are two short zippers and magnets. The magnets will allow super quick access to the contents of the bag. They are strong and keep the flap closed even without using the zippers.
Like the Kitchen Sink bar bag, it has attachment loops to mount the optional Redshift Computer Mount.

- Optional bike computer mount (compatible with Garmin and Wahoo computers), positions your bike computer on top of the bag in an ideal location in front of the stem.
New Low Flare Top Shelf & Kitchen Sink Bars
The new Low Flare option of the Top Shelf and Kitchen Sink bars features a road-style 10 deg flare at the drops. This is a big difference from the original 25 deg flare of the OG bars.
The new narrower bars still have the same shallow drop, back sweep and rise as the current 25 deg flare models. If a lower flare is your preference, like me, the new bars are designed just for you.
They’re Now Narrower
Along side the Top Shelf Bag and Lower Flare bar options, Redshift also released a new 41cm narrow-width version of the bars. This new width will run across all of the Redshift bars and will be available in both flare options. All bars are now available in the following widths: 41cm, 44cm, 47cm, 50cm, and 53cm. Note that the widest 53cm option is also new since we originally reported on the bars.
