Big thanks to REI for bringing out the food, snacks and drinks, not to mention some manpower, to the trail work day this past Saturday.  They really helped us make a lot of progress on the new Blue Heron Trail here in Greensboro, and the free t-shirt and Clif Bars were mucho appreciado. To check out the new trail, ride from Wild Turkey to Reedy Fork, then cross Church Street and you’re on it.
Related: The Greensboro Fat Tire Society is looking for volunteers for the July 19 Sizzler mountain bike race.  Hit ’em up via email if you can help out, or just put the race on your calender.
More pics from the trail day after the break…
Lauren comes down from WV to visit family and they put her to work building trail.
I got the bikerumor-lets started on community service early…can’t wait until they’re old enough to take them riding on the trail they helped build!
My daughter inspects my mild bench cutting, watches a centipede get carried away by ants and pretty much snacked on Clif Bars the whole time.
