Restrap has announced the release of a new range of Full Frame Bags shaped to fit bicycles with a standard front triangle, completing their now-comprehensive line of bikepacking bags and cargo carriers. With a durable, weatherproof outer fabric, sealed waterproof zippers, and adjustable internal compartmentalization, these made-in-the-UK frame bags are worth a second look.
Restrap Full Frame Bags
The Restrap Full Frame Bags are available in a 6 litre, 7.5 litre and 9 litre options. All are made of a textured nylon outer with VX21 fabrics. That’s a laminate fabric composed of a 210 Denier-rated DWR-coated outer on top of a polyester, with a 50 Denier-rated fabric underneath for additional abrasion resistance. It is a highly durable fabric that is commonly used for outdoor equipment such as backpacks.
Inside, there is an optional velcro divider that can be used to separate the contents of the top and bottom halves of the frame bag. Two almost full length YKK Aquaguard zippers offer access to those respective compartments. The velcro divider can be removed, however, if you need to use the frame bag’s full capacity.
Not shown is a third zipper on the non-drive side of the frame bag that allows access to a low profile compartment that Restrap call the “document compartment”.
The frame bag attaches to the top tube via three wide, rubberized velcro straps that help to keep movement to a minimum, as well as via additional straps for the seat tube and downtube; those ones feature cam locking buckles.
