In 2024, Robin Goomes made history. She became the first woman to win Red Bull Rampage. And she did so in the POC Coron Air helmet.

Just in time for Red Bull Rampage 2025, POC and Goomes have teamed up to release something new. Inspired by her home and heritage, POC released the Coron Air Robin Goomes edition helmet, along with special edition Goomes Ora goggles.

Hometown Inspiration

“Each day I tell myself that ‘every day is a dream’. I’m grateful for this life and getting to ride a bike every day, and I never want to take it for granted. I chose the checkers because I tend to wear them a lot. I used to race bikes, so I like how the checkers connect to racing,” Goomes said.

Her POC Coron Air helmet is nearly completely black, with a checker pattern creeping up the bottom. This black and white, checkered race flag wraps around the entire bottom of the helmet. Across the top of the back of the Coron Air helmet, Goomes’ new mantra “every day is a dream” is etched in white letters.

“The Kiwi bird is the national bird of NZ, and it’s a symbol of the NZ defence force that I served with, so it’s a reminder of my roots. The bits of pink are inspired by my Rampage kit from last year,” she continued.

The checker pattern is also present on the Ora goggle frames and on the band. Pink accents and a Kiwi bird are also found on the goggles. Goomes also has “every day is a dream” etched into the top of the lenses.

Coron Air Robin Goomes Edition

Aside from the special edition Goomes design, the Coron Air helmet used is the same one that POC has made for a handful of years now. POC utilizes its Whole Helmet Concept, which delivers maximum levels of fit, comfort, and performance.

The Coron Air incorporates MIPS rotational protection in the helmet. An EPP liner and fiberglass shell absorb impacts while maintaining a minimal weight.

Airflow is maximised, regardless of speed, thanks to ventilation channels specifically placed in the Coron Air. Along with increased comfort and added air flow, the helmet’s ear chambers are specially formed and shaped. This helps minimise the adverse effect on hearing and balance that can come with riding in a full-face helmet.

The Coron Air Robin Goomes Edition helmet retails for $390, $20 more than the standard POC Coron Air.

Ora Robin Goomes Edition

Along with the Coron Air helmet, Goomes had the opportunity to help design her very own Ora goggles. And like the helmet, the Goomes Ora goggles are the same as POC’s typical Oras, save for the special design.

The Ora’s frame is exceptionally large, creating a maximum field of view for the rider. Rather than a stiff, brittle frame, the Ora’s frame is soft and moldable, fitting comfortably to the rider’s face. The foam that touches the face is triple-layered and coated with Coolmax fabric to remain cool and comfortable.

While the strap on the Ora goggles ensures they remain fixed to any helmet, they are especially designed to fit with POC’s Coron and Otocon helmets. And, the Goomes Ora goggles, with their checkered pattern, look especially good with the Goomes Coron Air helmet.

Goomes’ Oras come with multiple lenses and retail for $110, which is also $20 more than the standard Ora goggles.
