Shimano / PRO develop new product for Olympic athletes

Shimano and PRO have developed a line of track-specific parts for the Olympics, including a set of carbon wheels, handlebar and stem, as well as signature shoes.  All will be available to Shimano-sponsored athletes.  As with all track components, maximum energy transfer with minimum waste was the goal, and it created some really unique wheels.  Made of uni-directional carbon fiber, the rear is made of 20 distinct sections.  See them in action tomorrow (Friday) as the Olympics kick off.
