Smith’s Chromapop lens technology is nothing short of awesome. Available on their lifestyle sunglasses for some time, the tech makes colors more vibrant and ultra bright. The first time you put them on, it’s a wow moment.
Now, that same rainbow-bursting saturation is coming on their performance lenses. The Arena Max (above), Arena and women’s Asana Pivlock interchangeable sunglasses will have the option, with multiple lens tints using it, as well as their Squad mountain bike goggle…
Shown above on the Arena are the Green Mirror, Sun Red Mirror, and Platinum Chromapop lenses, with a wide array of frame colors to choose from. All also include the Contrast Rose Flash Chromapop lens in the package, retailing for $189. Light transmission ranges from 12% to 15%, plus a Chromapop Brown (not shown) at 17%, and the Rose lets in 48% for lower light rides or overcast conditions. Options for the Asana are the same, but pics aren’t available yet.
The Squad and Fuel V.2 (not shown) goggles both get Chromapop options for $85 and $95, respectively. Look for Red Mirror and Contrast Rose options, too, and each one comes with a clear lens for night riding.
All are available in September.
