CamelBak is already looking forward to 2021 – and who can blame them. Joining the other hydration pack brands giving a little preview of upcoming models, CamelBak just announced their new Pro series models for spring 2021.
Building off two of their most successful models, the new additions will include the M.U.L.E. Pro 14 and the H.A.W.G. Pro 20. Both will feature a new Air Support Pro Back Panel with “body mapping technology married with a breathable 3D vent mesh harness that keeps you cool on the trail.” The packs also feature a light weight rip-stop nylon construction for durability.
Inside, both packs are impact protection ready – they won’t include impact protection, but they will be compatible with the CE1621-2 Level 2 certified CamelBak Impact Protector which is sold separately for $50.
While the packs aren’t sold as e-bike specific, they will include an e-bike battery sleeve to carry a spare just in case. We’re assuming that if you aren’t using it for an e-bike battery, the sleeve could be used for other purposes like a rolled up jacket or something of a similar size.
Inside, the packs are said to feature a number of storage features to organize your gear, along with cargo pockets on the hip belt, an integrated tool roll, and helmet carry straps. As the names imply, the M.U.L.E. Pro 14 offers 14L of storage including water and the H.A.W.G. Pro 20 offers 20L. We assume that both packs will include a 3L hydration reservoir, but for now that is unspecified.
Officially, the packs will launch this spring and will sell for $150 for the M.U.L.E. Pro 14 and $160 the H.A.W.G. Pro 20.
The M.U.L.E. Pro 14 will also come in a women’s specific model with S-Curved shoulder harness and women’s specific body mapping for the back panel.
