Using Polartec’s Wind Pro Hardface Fabric, Snēk Cycling’s new winter cap protects against freezing wind and drizzle without the bulk. Add a few clever design touches and it’s looking like a great option for cold-weather riding. Here’s what you need to know…

The material is fleecy and warm, but not too thick. And flat-lock stitching further reduces bulk, making it easy to fit under your helmet.

The brim is just long enough to redirect the wind from your eyes and forehead, but not so long that it impedes forward visibility. And it’s a bit wider than normal cycling caps, helping better push that wind and any moisture off to the sides. Lastly, it’s shaped, but deconstructed, so it won’t get all bent out of shape if you need to stuff it in your jersey pocket.

The drop-down ear cover can be flipped up and tucked inside if conditions warm up slightly. This isn’t Snēk’s first cycling cap; you can check out the design process in this video about the original:

What’s new is the upgraded Polartec Hardface material on the outside, improving warmth and weather resistance. Like the original, it comes in two sizes, which is a big differentiator amongst cycling cap brands…
