With their other models, Prologo put the saddles into distinct rider type categories. But their new Dimension line claims to work equally well for men and women, and for road, mountain and TT, all with one design. It’s their answer to the currently popular shorter saddle designs that put you in a powerful position, but done in their own unique way. While the original design is fairly universal, they thought they could create a more comfortable version for Enduro, and wanted to give certain riders a wider option with more padding.
Dimension saddles use long fibers to allow for a thinner shell, which saves weight. This includes the new Dimension NDR, for enduro. It gets additional padding and a more rounded profile that makes it easier to move around on the saddle. It also adds a bit of side protection, good for those inevitable wipeouts.
The dimension are the same width and length, the NDR has more subdued graphics. Available this August, options include:
- 153g with Nack (carbon) 7×9 rails (under $200)
- 182g with Tirox (hollow steel rails) ($~130)
- 205g with hollow chromoly rails ($TBD)
Also new is the Dimension Space 153 (on left). Where the other Dimension saddles are all 143mm wide, this adds 10mm of width and its shape is more rounded. There’s also 7mm more padding, using a softer and more shock absorbing foam.
Note the slightly rounder profile of the Space than the standard Dimension saddle.
It’s aimed at folks with less hip flexibility, but really good for anyone that wants a wider, softer saddle. Available late summer, same options and pricing as NDR.
Lastly, they’ve added their CPC Airing anti-vibration material to the X Zero (flat), X10 Nago (semi-round), and X8 Scratch (round) saddles.
