Are you rowdy? It’s OK, you can admit it. Admitting it is the first step to recovery. Or you can go the complete opposite direction and embrace it – with the new Stumpjumper EVO Pro.

Back when Specialized introduced the new Stumpjumper platform, that launch included a very small taste of the EVO-ness to come. Available in a single complete model and only in aluminum, you could guess that a carbon version was coming – we just didn’t know when. Apparently, that time is now as Specialized has just taken the wraps of their new additions to the EVO line up.

The biggest news is the introduction of the EVO Pro model which features a full FACT 11m carbon frame with either 27.5 or 29″ wheels. The frame still offers 150mm of travel from the new Sidearm chassis, but it does so with a Fox Float DHX2 Performance Elite rear coil shock to increase big hit performance. It also gains a Fox 36 Performance Elite fork up front for the same reasons.

Like the aluminum version, the Pro model only comes in two sizes – S2 and S3. The S3 is the longer of the two bikes, and both feature 63.5° head tube angles, though the seat tube angle vary slightly at 76 and 75.6°.

The Carbon Pro builds feature a SRAM GX Eagle 1×12 group, SRAM CODE RSC brakes, and Roval Traverse Carbon rims with burly 2.6″ Butcher tires with GRID casings. You can have either the 27.5 or 29″ EVO Pro for $6,700.

The other rowdy new addition is the ability to buy just an aluminum EVO frameset. Again available in 29 or 27.5, this is the same frame you can also get as a complete in Stumpjumper EVO Comp Alloy. Only this way, you can build it up yourself and get the drool worthy Satin Cast Battleship color. Both the 27.5 and 29″ frames will sell for $2,000 and include a FOX FLOAT DPX2 Performance air shock with the EVOL Air Sleeve, and the Specialized chain guide.

Finally, after making ways around buying a overpriced complete build in my head or buying second hand, or switching brands (Whyte, NS Bikes, Banshee)… Specialized is offering a frame only option, still overpriced but I´ll take it.
