SRAM Blackbox Racing Roster Announced

SRAM has announced all the riders that’ll be guinea pigs for the tech you’ll see in our Interbike 2009 coverage later this year.  

Formally introduced at Sea Otter in 2000, the BlackBox Racing program is their proving ground for next generation bicycle products and technology.  It covers SRAM, RockShox, Avid and Truvativ product lines.

For 2009, you’ll want to scout out these folk’s bikes at the races:

  • Christoph Sauser (XC – Specialized)
  • Burry Stander (XC – Specialized)
  • Florian Vogel (XC – Scott-Swisspower)
  • Nino Schurter (XC - Scott-Swisspower)
  • Todd Wells (XC – Specialized)
  • Lene Byberg (XC – Specialized)
  • Mary McConneloug (XC – Kenda/Seven/NoTubes)
  • Greg Minnaar (DH – Santa Cruz Syndicate)
  • Sam Hill (DH – Monster / Specialized)
  • Steve Peat (DH – Santa Cruz Syndicate)
  • Romain Saladini (4X – Sunn)
  • Anneke Beerten (4X – Intense)
  • Jill Kintner (4X – Intense)
Most recently, BlackBox testing led to the Motion Control and Mission Control damping on RockShox forks.
