For several years, Standert has offered both steel & aluminum gravel bikes, but the all-new Kieswerk brings costs down a lot. Like, this new bike has complete builds from just 2450€, which isn’t all that much more than their EU-made gravel framesets. This one, unsurprisingly, is made in Asia to keep costs down. But it still gets all of the same modern standards, plenty of mounts, and clearance for 50mm tires.
Standert Kieswerk all-new affordable alloy gravel bike

With the new, more affordable aluminum Kieswerk, Standert now has three gravel bikes in the line-up for all types of riders. Both the race-ready alloy Kettensäge that’s made-in-Italy and the adventure-ready stainless Erdgeschoss that’s made-in-Taiwan were updated two years back. Now the Standert Kieswerk joins in as a more affordable all-rounder welded in southern China with the same modern features and attention to detail as the rest of the Berlin bike brand’s offerings.
Versatile Features

Standert wanted the new Kieswerk to not only be affordable, but to be one bike that can do it all – from weekday commutes, to all-weekend adventure rides, and every mixed surface ride in between. So it gets all the most desirable future-proof contemporary standards, plus up-to-date all-rounder geometry.

You get 50mm tire clearance, a UDH, integrated but mechanical-friendly cable routing, and all the cage & accessory mounts you can shake a stick at.

And it’s available in a wide 7-size range to fit riders from 150cm (48cm PC) all the way up to 198cm (60cm).

Standert Kieswerk – Pricing, options & availability

The new Standert Kieswerk is available exclusively in one of two complete bike builds to keep costs down (unlike high-end Standert bikes that often are also available as a frameset.) The new affordable gravel bike comes in 7 stock sizes (48-60cm) and 3 colors: Black Star, Green Thumb & Shimmy Raw.

Pricing starts at 2450€ for the Shimano GRX mechanical builds, which will ship in September with alloy DT wheels, 45mm Pirelli Cinturato Adventure tires, a Deda Superzero Gravel cockpit, and a carbon seatpost – 10.15kg (54cm claimed).

Or for a quicker delivery, pick the wireless 3350€ SRAM Apex AXS Xplr build that will ship in the next couple weeks, with an upgrade to Scope R2.0 carbon wheels – 9.2kg (54cm claimed).

Unfortunately, at the moment, none of the new Standert Kieswerk bikes are available to ship to the USA “due to regulatory restrictions“.
