State Bicycle just launched a collaboration with the US National Park Foundation reissuing special limited editions of four of their road, gravel, urban & mountain bikes to raise money to help protect, promote & preserve the national parks. With subtle color palettes and simple, classy build specs, the affordable State x NPF bikes use iconic imagery & detailing to celebrate five of America’s most popular National Parks.
State Bicycle x National Park Foundation limited-edition bikes
State’s limited-edition National Park Foundation collection of bikes, bar bags & cycling kit aim to leverage American’s love of their National Parks to raise funds to support them, while selling some unique bikes along the way. State isn’t clear about how much from each sale goes to support the parks, simply saying, “a portion of proceeds from the sale of each piece in this collection will go towards supporting NPF’s mission to protect national parks and connect people to them.”
The limited-edition bikes of the State x NPF collection include a Joshua Tree 4130 All-Road, a Glacier 4130 Road, a Redwood Core, and a pair of Klunkers paying homage to Grand Canyon & Yellowstone National Parks.
State x NPF 4130 All Road, Joshua Tree National Park edition
“Paying homage to Joshua Tree National Park, the 4130 All Road’s 38c tires are perfect for the dirt roads scattered throughout the Park’s landscape. From the All-Road Bars 1 to the stealth Thru-Axle, countless mounting options, and a drivetrain built for speed and climbing, State answered the call for a one bike to do it all with the 4130 All-Road.“
The State x NPF 4130 All Road Joshua Tree edition is available in 650b or 700c complete builds from $990, and is also the only bike available separately as a limited edition steel frameset, for $500.

State x NPF 4130 Road, Glacier National Park edition
“Built on a lightweight double-butted Chromoly steel frame, the 4130 Road is perfectly equipped for commuters, with room for fenders over the stock 25mm tires and fittings for luggage racks both front and rear. The 8-speed rear drivetrain shifts using a downtube lever, a choice that makes an immediate callback to vintage bikes yet also makes for a low-maintenance option thanks to the durable nature of the shifting system.“
The steel $650 complete State x NPF 4130 Road Glacier edition road bike has classy road drop bar and downtube shifter looks, but a bit of modern sensibility with its silver 1x drivetrain, traditional rim brakes, and room for up to 32mm tires.

State x NPF Core-Line, Redwood National Park edition
“The Core Line truly reflects the ethos of State, with a classic look and serious value. A mainstay of the fixed gear/singlespeed world, this colorway celebrates California’s Redwood National Park. The 4130 steel frame provides a compliant ride without sacrificing durability. A flip-flop hub allows the rider to ride fixed or freewheel while the Cult x Vans waffle pattern grips will keep you comfortable and riding hassle-free for years to come.“
The $400 State x NPF Core-Line Redwood edition is the epitome of State’s simple, low-cost steel urban hipster commuters, ready to be set up fixed or singlespeed with brakes. With a basic straight-gauge steel frame & fork, it’s hard to go wrong with the basic Core-Line bike that still includes rear rack & full-coverage fender mounts.

State x NPF Klunkers, Grand Canyon & Yellowstone National Park editions
“The Klunker is available in two colorways celebrating Grand Canyon National Park and Yellowstone National Park respectively. Built on a durable steel frame and fork with a 5-year warranty, these bikes will take a beating and look good while doing it. State paired the Klunkers with a BMX-style stem, 30” extra-wide V-bar with and Vans Grips. They also come with WTB Vigilante mountain bike tires.“
The Klunker is State’s newest creation out of the bunch. And at $500 for either National Park look, it could be the most fun out of the NPF collection. Harkening back to the early days of mountain biking but updated with 27.5 x 2.3″ tires, this is an affordable off-road cruiser that will be a blast to slide around on some singletrack.

State x National Park Foundation limited-edition gear
On top of five affordable bikes, there are also color coordinated handlebar bags for each National Park.
Pick up any one of these on its own for just $40, and strap on 1.7L of canister bag storage to any bike.
Each 600D polyester bar bag features a main top waterproof zippered pocket – with a call out to “Explore Your State”, a daisy chain with movable velcro straps to secure it to any bar, a lower strap to keep it stable, plus a second small zip pocket on one end and a national park patch on the other.
Lastly, there’s a full range of State x National Park Foundation jerseys, tees & bib shorts with playful graphics to celebrate the parks. The $80 Enjoy the Parks jersey comes in yellow or burnt orange, the $60 Enjoy the Parks tech tee in dark blue or olive, and $90 cargo bib shorts in classic black.
The State x NPF riding kit isn’t specific to one park, and is all made from Repreve polyester, a 100% post-consumer recycled fiber derived mostly from recycled from water bottles.
All of the State X NPF collection is available now, but much of it will likely sell out fast!
