Made by the good folks at Asheville Brewing Co., the new I9PA is a 9x dry hopped pale ale that’ll be making its debut tonight at the brewery’s tap room from 6 to 9pm.

On top of the frosty beverages, they’ll be raffling off a set of I9 wheels and a Cane Creek DB shock. Those’ll sit alongside a silent auction with plenty of other amazing products from a huge assortment of local brands, shops and providers like Suspension Experts. To top it all off, they fabricated these sweet tap pulls from their hubs!

PRESS RELEASE: Industry Nine, or “I9” an innovative company in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Asheville Brewing Company, established in 1998 as the third Asheville-based brewery, have collaborated to introduce the I9PA beer and to raise funds for local greenway development on Thursday November 18, at The Millroom in downtown Asheville. The I9PA beer is a nine times dry hopped session style IPA with a high flavor profile, which is perfect as a post ride beverage. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Friends of Connect Buncombe, an organization committed to the implementation and construction of greenways in Buncombe County.

The beer launch and fundraiser will be held from 6PM to 9PM at The Millroom, Asheville Brewing’s event venue, located at 66 Asheland Avenue in downtown Asheville. The event will feature raffles for a wheelset from Industry Nine and for a Double Barrel Inline Shock from Cane Creek Cycling. There will also be a large silent auction for items from local bicycle industry businesses. Proceeds from beer sales, the raffles, and the silent auction will all go directly to Friends of Connect Buncombe. The event is open to the public and anyone who is a beer lover or who wants to support local bicycle infrastructure is encouraged to attend.

Industry Nine and Asheville Brewing intend to make this an annual event and use it to provide funding and awareness for bicycle advocacy in Asheville. A portion of ongoing proceeds from the sale of the I9PA beer will be allocated to greenway development.

Most expensive tap handles ever. And perhaps coolest ever.

Jacob — got this from your Mom and just wanted to congratulate you on such an excellent and worthy event. Great job with that press release, too! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your Yosemite family, and know that Eve and I would love to see you in Berkeley sometime (where locals also are very fond of brewskies and bikes).
Love from Eve and Bill
