Listen, when it comes to loaded bicycles, having some sort of kickstand is very helpful. Most bikes that are designed for loading down, and hauling a lot of stuff usually have some sort of kickstand. But, when out bikepacking or doing a light tour, a big, clunky kickstand can get in the way. That’s where Bikerando comes into play with the new Biri Advenced and Biri Pro.

The Biri is a telescopic portable bike stand, that Bikerando says is the “first telescopic and portable bike stand in the world”. It comes in two flavors, the Biri Pro, and the Biri Advnaced.

They both adapt to “all bikes of any weight and size”. They hold an Italian patent and are manufactured in Itally with high-quality materials. Let’s check out the details.

To use the Biri, remove it from the carrying mount and expand it to the right length. The top of the kickstand forks around the saddle rail, and the bottom has a rubber tip to prevent it from digging into the ground. The Biri also includes a band to loop around a brake lever to act as a parking brake.

The telescoping function is nice. Been using the similar but folding Click Stand for years: https://www.click-stand.com/

Having dealt with telescoping hiking and cross country skiing poles, I gotta say that I always found them cumbersome. I’d say the ‘tent-pole’ system from your stand is way faster and easier to operate.
