Today, Minnesota’s Teravail launches some new carbon goodies. ‘Member last Spring, when Teravail launched its Gravel Wheel System? That system consists of new tires, a carbon rim, carbon wheelsets, and some tubless valves. Well, with today’s launch, Teravail will be entering the cockpit space with both carbon and alloy handlebars and seat posts (including a dropper post), stems, grips, and bar tape.

Does a tire company entering the cockpit space make sense? I think it does. Feeling fully connected to the trail or road only starts with the tires. But the feeling continues to the touch points of the bike, like bars and seat posts. With their new cockpit, Teravail can connect the rider to the bike, and with its tire selection, they connect the rider to the terrain.

I got to review a few of the new items on my Wilde Rambler SL: the Feldspar drop bar in carbon, the carbon Stratum seat post, and the Radia Bar Tape. I’ve put well over 200 miles on these items in the last two months, and so far I really like them. I’ve made notes on the parts that I have in for review.

But I’ll be writing up my review later in the week.

What’s in the Launch

In this new launch, Teravail releases a whopping nine handlebars, two stems, three seat posts (two of which are dropper posts), as well as grips and bar tape. They are also teasing some new tires and updated tire sizes that are coming soon. We’ll get into that at a later date.

First, let’s go over the new handlebars.

The bars that were released for this launch can probably cover most riders’ needs. There are road and gravel-specific bars, some specific bikepacking bars, as well as full-blown mountain bike bars; some come in different flairs and widths, and some have both carbon and aluminum options.

Gravel Handlebars

Feldspar Gravel Bar

This is the bar that I am currently riding. I’ve got over 200 miles on them. I chose the Feldspar in carbon and a 46cm width. We’ll get into my thoughts later.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review feldspar

Feldspar is designed to give gravel riders the most natural hand positions anywhere on the bar. The top-level carbon version utilizes a multi-stage flare to put the hoods at an optimal angle for comfort while maximizing control through the drops. The flattened center section promotes flex and offers relief from rough surfaces.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review feldspar rocks

What’s New & Why: The Feldspar is offered in 3 materials to ensure all riders can get their hands on these bars and enjoy the design. Teravails’s use of carbon manufacturing allows them to create unique bends and shapes that aren’t possible with aluminum. The aluminum bars achieve a similar fit and aesthetic, but are more accessible.

Radia 12

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review radia

“Radia 12 blends speed, comfort, and efficiency for high-performance efforts on gravel and paved surfaces. Designed with gravel racing and riding in mind, the Radia 12 features 12° of flare and a semi-compact drop to put your hands, wrists, and arms in a natural, comfortable position in both the hoods and the drops.”

What’s New & Why: Teravail calls the Radia 12 their “gold standard for a gravel drop bar”. It’s available in 3 different materials: carbon, 7000 series aluminum (SE model), and 6000 series aluminum. And the wider center section will easily allow for improved accessory mounting.

Bikepacking Handlebars

Radia 24

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review radia gravel

Radia 24 provides comfort, control, and efficiency on adventures that range from harsh gravel roads to technical mountain passes. While resembling traditional drop bars, their 24° flare dramatically improves leverage, stability, and comfort when riding in the drops.

What’s New & Why: The Radia 24 has an increased flare of 24° in the drops and the largest range of widths in this assortment. The Radia 24 ensures riders get all the space they need for mounting bags and other accessories.

Teravail Moonstone

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review moonstone

Moonstone is the widest and tallest moto-inspired carbon bar out there. We designed it for off-road riding, and it’s been tested and approved for getting rowdy on the rough stuff. A statement piece for custom builders and tinkerers alike, Moonstone is equally at home on klunkers, bikepacking rigs, singletrack monsters, or simply cruising the streets in style.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review moonstone

What’s New & Why: The Teravail Moonstone is a real rarity in the handlebar market – a carbon moto-inspired riser. You want a wide, higher-rise, lightweight alt bar? The Moonstone is for you. The Moonstone was designed to inspire builds of all kinds. The higher-rise and moderate backsweep keep levers and controls clear from front bags. Perfect for your next bikepacking or Klunker build.

Swale Handlebars

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review swail bar

We were left wanting by what’s available in wider, mid-range sweep and midrise bars with space for accessory mounting. Carbon is another notable
absence; its material properties can further assist in the reduction of tri-cep fatigue associated with mountain bars for extended periods of time.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review swail bar top

What’s New & Why: The minimal, forward-first bend of the Teravail Swale Bars allows riders to match the reach of their Lytho bar, but change the angle of their wrists to add comfort. It comes in either 820 or 780mm width, and also offers loads of real estate for mounting accessories.

Lytho Bar

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review lytho

Whatever your adventure, Lytho bars are tough, durable, and comfortable. Whether out exploring a new trail or devouring your favorite descent, they’ll help keep you in control and ready for the terrain ahead.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review lytho bar

What’s New & Why: The Teravail Lytho bar’s more relaxed 11° and 6° sweep puts the riders’ wrists/hands in a more neutral position than the common 9° and 5° mountain riser bars. They are available in 3 different materials: carbon, 7000 series aluminum (SE), and 6000 series aluminum to reach a wide variety of budgets

Tropo Bar

Tropo is Teravail’s modern take on a road racing drop bar. The 6° flare provides the perfect blend of control and comfort with just enough forearm clearance from the drops.

Teravail Stems

The Radia Stem

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review radia stem

Our Radia stem offers a refined, classic look to match all Teravail cockpits. Stems only have a few jobs to do: hold the bars, provide stable support, and look good. Available in a wide range of lengths to dial in the fit on any bike.

What’s New & Why: The Radia Stem is a carbon-compatible stem that can pair with all Teravail handlebars or even a great option for shops to use as a ‘fit’ stem with a full range of lengths.

The Lytho Stem

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review lytho stem

Our Lytho stem offers a stout connection for modern mountain bars with a 4-bolt faceplate for easy installation. They match the simple aesthetic of other Teravail cockpit components and let other parts of your bike shine brightest.

What’s New & Why: The new Lytho Stem is 3D-forged for increased strength. Then they CNC-machine it. Its 4-bolt faceplate allows for easy installation and compatibility with most handlebars.

Gravel Seatpost

The Stratum

This is the seatpost that I’ve been testing. I chose to try the carbon version, in the 27.2 diameter, 400mm length, and 18mm offset.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review carbon post

“Seatposts are one of the most overlooked components on a bike, but finding the right one can make a huge difference in the comfort and fit of your bike. Our Stratum seatposts are available in a variety of sizes and offsets so you can easily upgrade any bike in your stable.”

The Telec 27.2

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review telec 27.2

“Our Telec post packages everything folks are looking for – reliability/serviceability, adjustable travel in two travel options, and an attractive aesthetic, all at an attainable price point.”

What’s New & Why: The new Telec 27.2 dropper post sports 30mm of tool-less travel adjustment (in 10mm increments) to dial in the proper fit. It also uses a smooth, two-bolt adjustment system with barrel nuts that offer the rider easy installation and near-infinite angle adjustment.

Telec DB (drop bar) Remote

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review dropbar dropper lever

“Pair with our Telec 27.2 and you can experience control nirvana. Dual action allows you to activate your post from both the hoods and drops, a minimal clamp to ensure all your favorite hand positions remain accessible, and textured surfaces to provide grip when the weather turns.”

What’s New & Why: The Telec DB Remote uses a cartridge bearing that provides smooth, predictable actuation. It sports a textured surface and a minimalist band clamp design. So you can keep precious real estate in the drops while also making installation easy.

Teravail Gravel Bar Tape

Radia Bar Tape

Note: My review of this bar tape is coming later in the week. I am using the Dune colorway in the 2.5mm thickness.

Teravail 2026 Cockpit Launch:Review bar tape

“Our Radia tape was specifically designed to increase comfort while riding on gravel surfaces. Offered in 2 thicknesses, our shock-absorbing tape with gel backing delivers the perfect blend of control and comfort on this variable terrain.”

What’s New & Why: The Radia Tape’s 3-layer design. The tape is water-repellent, has an anti-slip surface, and is made with lightweight foam. It offers a gel backing, which results in a secure grip and vibration damping. The new Radia Bar tape includes proprietary-designed plugs that can improve fit.
